Hey all
I have a simple passive mixer/venturi lpg setup with the flow controlled by a stepper motor, which is mounted about 1/4 along the low pressure line between the converter and the mixer. My question is, can I move the stepper motor much closer to the mixer? My main reason for doing so is to protect it from the exaust heat, but also wouldnt it perform slightly better being closer to the mixer than the converter? ie, Less pipe travel between mixture change and fuel entering the TB?

mine is positioned just before the mixer... whether this is better I dont know but it seems to work fine.

i would have thought the closer to the mixer the better, as when load changes the change in mixture is closer?
maybe my crazy thinking... |

Well there it is, not that its driveable atm.
I bet I get it in there for rego and they tell me to stop fiddling with it and leave things how they are.. boring.. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You can have it wherever you like mate, if you have a look at the AU dedicated LPG you'll notice it's actually on the convertor.
When i done my conversion i mounted the convertor as close as i could to the throttle body, i only have about 8 inches of vapour hose. |

Mine is an AU 5.0 mate, i put it where the washer bottle sits, i fitted a Commodore bottle under the front LH skirt and ran the filler for it in front of the airbox.
It was either there or down below the battery, in that case i would have had a vapour line about 4 foot long. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

That's the good thing about the V8s ... that's a good spot for the converter to be mounted. Have seen many a conversion with it there.
Have also see the washer bottle moved the radiator support next to the passenger side headlight behind the grille as well.

In the fitting instructions for my gastec fuel processor it says to "mount the cv30 mixture control valve close to the gas mixer for performance reasons"
