What are your opions on the impco systems? the one im looking at purchasing has a setup which looks a little unusual compared to other systems does this look like a better setup?

It does look cool aye, as pathetic as that sounds (i should'nt get a kit on looks). i thought it looked alot better constucted than some other setups ive seen, would that be a fair call? What would be a good price for that kind of setup (ball parks fine). Its second hand btw.

I'd personally spend a few more dollars and go for a vapour injection system. Much better economy and reliability than the existing vapour systems. With the government LPG rebate, you really can't go wrong. You wont look back moving to LPG!

Should be less than that, and then deduct the government rebate. If you're driving 15,000km/year, it will pay itself off in the first 12 months .. and then think about the savings every litre thereafter :)

I did some more research and yeah their like $4200, and also not recommended for cars built before 2003. Apparently the benefits also are hard to justify for the extra cost. The reliability issues of the old gas systems have been practically rectified these days with the close loop systems. So ive been told, but im very far from being a gas expert.

What you need to look at is the additional savings from spending more than the mixer setup on the injected system, which about another $1,100, so $3,800 instead of $2,700.

That additional $1,100 will take a while to pay itself off.

You won't get the extra money back, most likely.

I did a big excel document working it out

I cant get it to work as an attachment, but its similar to this:
Cost: efficiency multiplier 68 / $ per 100km's
2650 1 12 566 8.409893993 3363.957597
3750 1.2 9.6 708 6.723163842 2689.265537

based on 70cents a litre :)

IMO vapor injection is over-rated and unproven for the money being asked...

you can not go wrong with impco...99% of mechanics have had experience with it...

its cheap, tried and tested

Update;
I decided to pass on getting this system and fitting it myself, for the money asked for it it will only cost me another $250 (after rebate) to have a new system professionally fitted and tuned, so stuff it why not. I also would of had to remove the system from the other car and knowing my luck i would have missed something and had to of spent money on the system and replacing any parts that weren't working. After building the turbo car it will be good to have a break on working on cars for a while. Back to doing the bike's i spose

Anyway cheers for all your advice and help guys it is much appreciated i will keep you updated on any progress with the EL XR6 Gas Beast.
Maybe fit the powerdyne i got sitting here to it if i can get a bracket?
