I wonder if all mixer rings (std) are of the same inner diameter or do they vary?

im sure there would be some improvement to be had at the loss of some economy/ driveability by going to a larger opening

One question. can it be used on ANY venturi style gas setup?

As far as I know it can as long as it can be fitted in the intake. It's a straight replacement for a fixed venturi (mixer ring) so it can be used with any complex converter (ie converters with adjustment screws on them). It can't be used with simple Impco or GRA mixers.

Sorry I haven't got back with results yet. I've been trying different intake configurations since I found an EL intake going cheap. Everything I've tried has had balance line problems. I'm pretty much back to how I installed the Airod first up, and ATM it's running way rich in the midrange and seems to have a balance line stutter just as vacuum turns to boost. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the bodgy way I've re-used the PCV barb on the intake for the balance line. I'm thinking about getting a length of custom pipe made up.

Also waiting on a parcel from England that might help. I won't say too much just yet, anyone curious can find out what I mean by looking for WTV-UK.

There is a Polish guy selling Variable mixers on eBay. About AU$230 landed here.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0288357858

I am trying to think will this only work with a simple converter/complex mixer setup like Impco-America or is it better suited to the European complex mixer/simple mixer setups such as OMVL or Landi?

My 1st thoughts are this is more like a complex mixer so would suit Impco better but I am likely wrong!

Edit;
- Oops, I just saw the other thread on this unit. It does not answer my question as to what this is designed for.

My last post (5.34am yesterday) in that other thread actually does answer that question.

I've had one on & off my car again trying to isolate the cause of flat spots & rough running. It's looking like the knock sensor might be the underlying cause, it's started throwing a DTC and I'm getting pinking rolling onto the throttle at cruise (on petrol)... just like the time I had to have the knock sensor replaced under warranty. Hope to replace it tomorrow. If it's all good on petrol the mixer goes back on. Meantime my WB02 has arrived so I can finesse the settings on the converter and get a feel for whether the converter is shagged.
