Can you get a 50mm gas ring to suit our falcons?
Cheers ToranaGuy

Have tried larger mixers , car wasn't the same, flat spot , chewing through fuel , idling issues, car would stall on the freeway as you decelerate.

I thought twin 35mm intakes was equivalent to a 52.5mm single. My maths must be bodgy or something.
And yeah it won't work because the fuel is introduced at the mixer, just like a carby. You need a decent vacuum. Maybe on a 351 or larger engine with mild or stock cam the twin 35's might work but not on a 4.0 or smaller engine. |

All i really wanted to do was show that two 2 x 35mm wasn't the same as 1 x 70mm It may work with a staged system with duel throttle bodies, but ideally it would need to operate with a vacuum secondary throttle not a mechanical one. complex and a pain to get working right but it could be done. |

I just found one of these for about $50 it's 65mm internal, so I'll give it a go and see what happens, I'll keep you posted

It might be 65mm but its got alot of area blocked off, those protrusions will also cause a lot of turbulence which will decrease flow. Try and find one that looks like a venturi, not a sharp edge orifice. |

What they could of done was create a rounded leading and sharp tailing edge.
might be able to trim some of that plastic off I reckon.

what they should do is stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
Venturi have been working in carburetors for a hundred years or so. There is no better way of doing it. |

Funnily enough my EFI Fairlane doesn't have a carby, so I guess I'll have to try this "crappy" thing instead of sitting back complaining about everything!
p.s. I have the flu combined with toothache so pardon my not so friendly mood - at least I'm trying something - yes?

Don't know if we're in the same page as d**k but this is what I mean about trimming the bulk of the plastic off. basically it's a venturi
$50 bucks for a 65mm ring you can play around with if you wanna be a real innovator!

yeah Slick you dont get gold for $50 but I'll give it a go and see what i can do once i get it, and look at tidying it up if needed, of course the variable venturi ones mentioned elsewhere would be ideal, but, seeing you can no longer get them we have to try what is available, still interested in those Blos variable ones available on ebay they are supposed to open up to almost70mm when required, but like this one they come from Poland so who knows what they're like eh?
