I know the sort of places. There's one in Sunshine too near my wife's workplace. They deliver changeover cylinders to other servos etc.

i always put pure propane in my eb with impco system and never have a problem, apparently it burns cleaner, better combustion and also is supposed to boost the k's a little, it smells better too....butane is crap, it is a waste product..

Near where I live at the Mo, 100% Propane is actually cheaper then LPG Blend (Propane+ butane)

61.2 and 64.9 respectively....

Where can I get a pure propane mix to put in my car? Btw.. I live in Preston (Melb) if that helps..

[quote]What you need to remember, your lpg 'jerry can' will only donated until pressures in both tanks equalize. Also, you'll need to raising the lpg bottle above the lpg tank while holding the bottle upside down so have your connection long enough so you can rest the bottle on your shoulders.

Well first of all why would anyone want to turn a gas bottle upside down when it picks up the gas as liquid from the bottom through a pipe ?

Propane will run better the a mixture butane is only added so we get inferior gas that cheaper for the petrol companys to make as far as puttin the bottle on your shoulders goes why any one would be silly enough to do that I have no idear unless you were planing to build muscles :-).
and sure the pressure level in both bottle will become the same but if the car lpg is empty you will be able to drive to a sevo !

please lets stay away from myths ??

What your looking for is Supagas, there's one in Dandenong. Price there the other day for 100% Propane was 49.5c

standard camping bottles dont have the pipe to the bottom thats why you turn it upside down.

Yes seems you are right in what you say rick bbq bottles take gas from the top of the tank so my further investigation tell me Thanks for the correction.
I aslo read an idear on decanting from one gas bottle to the other the idear is leave the bottle you are filling from in the sun or heat in some way i was thinking hair dryer if the bottle you fill from is warmer it build pressure food for thought

Because BBQ bottles are a vapour feed system....turn the bottle upside down and you are drawing liquid.

According to AS1425 rules covering LPG conversions, the rules state the service/fill lines must have as least number of joins in it as possible.
