The senders on LPG tanks are magnet based but placing speakers nearby doesnt seem to effect them.... You should be right....

Absolutely right - my mistake. There seems to be a magnetic coupling, but it isn't actually used for direct sensing (eg not hall effect etc). So it would take a 30" subwoofer to have any impact :)
