Alright the Nc is going splits but I am worried about the magnets on the subs effecting the tank and the gauges on the tank. I do not want to raise the speakers as I want the stock look but if I run body deadener on the tank will that effect anything?

There no need to shield the speakers, it would be a waste of time and money (the late P Brock may disagree with me though).

Absolutely no need to shield the tank.
If in doubt fit a flux capacitor. I hear they improve performance and fuel economy too!

And where is it that I can buy a Flux Capacitor for and Nc 5L? I have looked on ebay, but none. Thought maybe the magnets would charge the tank and give incorrect readings on guages. Thanks guys |

Thanks guys you'll find the flux capacitor in any classic car store... they work best at around 88mph in the old book..! well worth the money!! |

I find no issues with my gauge for the lpg tank. I have 6x9's in the parcel shelf, an amp in the boot & a 12inch sub in a box in the boot too.

The splits should be almost right on the tank, so the magnet will almost definately magnetise the tank. I know if I do spacers the clearance will be fine but I want to go the as close to stock look |

what are gas tanks made of, tho? Aren't they aluminium? If so, its non-ferrous...i.e., non magnetic..
Or is it stainless steel? Jeez, my last 5 cars have been on gas and it just occurs to me that I'm not sure what the tanks are made of !! Anyway, I'm sure if there was ever an issue then it would have come up in either audio or lpg circles before now.. and even id the tank was mild steel, I don't think a big area like that `magnetises' because a relatively small magnet is stuck to or near it...

There are stainless tanks around, but i think the majority were mild steel, but they might be something stronger than mild steel to cope with the pressure they have to deal with.
I have never had any issues with the speakers near the tank. Cheers ToranaGuy

Almost all senders are resistance based. Magnets won't affect them.
