You have the green injectors, right?

The calibrators inside the injectors come in all different sizes so you will need to make sure that you have right ones for your specific engine. If your installer is not helping you, chase it up with the friendly people at Australian LPG Warehouse. While you're at it, tell them about the experiences with your installer. ALPGW doesn't take crap so maybe your installer will be taken off of the authorised fitters list.

I don't have any great pics of my setup, but i do plan on cleaning my engine bay tomorrow before i drop the car off at the panel shop, i will have to grab a few pics.

I have a Autogas Italia (aka Poliauto) Easyjet system. The originally installer didn't do a great job on either the wiring or the hardware, but it was the 1st EB to be done, and probably one of only a few out there with any form of gas injection let alone this system.

Maybe this summer i will tidy the setup up. Then again maybe I will change it for something with more power potential? It's got individual injectors, a regulator that hangs from the strut tower & vapor lines that run from there to each injector. Later versions of this system use a different reg & a common rail close to the engine, being fed at each end from the reg.

Anyway, some nice looking & some messy looking setups there. One of the biggest b**ch i can have about my setup is the f**k wiring! What a mess!, the petrol injector loom was spliced into, and the gas loom just hung over the manifold. So when you have to remove the inlet manifold, you can't just unplug it & lift the manifold off. The LPG loom really needs a plug at the firewall to d/c it. Something i have wanted to do for a while, never had the time, is fix that damn loom!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Install is in my Eb2 Ghia, GT Mockup. Done back in 2004, clocked up over 200,000 on the LPG. The hardware is pretty good, the install was pretty bad.

Cheers

Yep. Very  It was the 1st car earlier than an AU that place had converted, so i have to give them that. Then again, they could have stood there a bit longer, scratching their head, a*** & balls, drinking coffee/coke/pepsi/booze of some description, having a good hard think about the job before going gung ho at it & just slapping it in there.

Typical of most (but not all) lpg installers that only really care about slapping it on & getting the car out, to convert the next car, instead of doing a neat, functional & easy to work on install. It's a shame really, because i recommend people DO NOT take their car's there. I know of 30 conversions that could have been done by them that have not been, and I'm sure word get's around.....

I bought the dongle & software to tune it myself. I found a source for filters too, so i swap them myself, it's not all that hard. I even have the install docs, full wiring diagram & a few other neat bits for this system too.

All in all, it's miles ahead of any mixer setup i have either had on other car's or driven with in E series falcons.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

If only we could convince the mixer fanbois to think alike.

Next step for you: LIQUID INJECTION! :)

Saying that, it's not that far ahead of a good gas carby setup like an impco 425 or gas research TB.

If i had the money, for sure, I'd rip this out & fit liquid injection, then turbo the b**ch!

Cheers

Dude, that IS NOT GAS INJECTION. It's a factory mixer setup. Not what this thread is about. This thread is about LPG systems that use injectors just like a petrol injection system does. Not old school mixer setups.

Cheers

Pitty Ford don't do a factory injection setup just yet, they really are behind the times in regards to LPG!
