Tuning SUCKS!. ha!.

So what have I worked out? - if you hit your foot flat on the throttle at idle the ECU aims at 32ms injector pulses. Thats sweeet on Fuel - it kicks up and runs. on lpg, it just goes off the dial.

Whats the normal method of tuning this out?
I looked at changing the max. injector timing back to 16ms, and this fixes everything under 3k rpm, but then I lose a heap over 3k at throttle.

Am I just going to have to bring the adjustments right back on the sub 1/2k rpm maps for high injector timings?

Other than that, Im very impressed at driveability. Sorry I didnt do this in the first place!

Hey fellas just wondering if someone can tell me how much a liquid injection lpg set would cost for a el 6?

And what is the maximum power liquid injection can support?

Hi talk to Australian LPG Warehouse New St Frankston they may be able to help. You do need to replace your existing Gas Tank, TPVM.

It's yet to be put on a dyno and for me to finish the tuning. Thats a single large line (forgot size) from tank to dual converters, to 2 prins filters running 4 feeds to 6 injectors.
Injectors are on max duty at high rpm, on the road AFRs are safe at 8psi at about 12 - 13:1 on wot (petrol AFRS).
The injectors should be good for 10psi, but waiting for dyno time to make sure. Should make about 250rwkw on 10psi.
I'm then at the limit of the injectors and the single feed from the tank.

I'm running a PROFIRE ecu, so if i choose I could run a 2nd line with a different tank, run another 6 injectors and double that.

I also want to play with gas pressure, I'm running what I was told was the limit with cold starts, but it started in Yass on the way to sydney AFD at 7 in the morning and there was ice on my window. So i may crank the pressure up a little more.

Yeah pretty happy with how its driving considering it was tuned remotely and tweaked by myself. What system are you going to run?
If anyone is interested in Profire Ecus I highly recommend them and if you in Melbourne I'm happy to give a demo of the tuning software.

Hey micksc -> That gas system you have taken pictures of IS NOT Gas Injection. That's an old Impco or Impco copy mixer setup!

I'm surprised nobody has added to this thread for a while!

xhxr6t -> Man that setup is clean! How did you end up going once tuned on the dyno?

I should get some pics of my wife's Ba Xr8's setup we had fit a cpl mths ago, Liquid Injection setup done @ Rapidflow in Hoppers Crossing, Vic. Cost a bomb but it will pull all the way to the redline, just as if it was on petrol, and returns within 10% of it's previous petrol economy, which is very good. I was thinking about going a vapor setup, as I have a vapor setup on my Eb Ghia, but it was only $400 more for Liquid Injection @ Rapidflow, versus vapor injection at a few other places. Most of the vapor systems have to switch back to petrol at high load/high rpm that were being offered to me. That isn't as user friendly for my wife, so we spent the extra & went with Liquid injection.

Cheers

ToranaGuy
