hi all.i got an el with tickford gas in the shed gas doesnt work yet as my tanks out getting restamped just wondering what are your thoughts on getting a rebuild kit for the converter as general maintence seen as it look crap on the outside.or is it one of those things you get a kit when it fails?

just will add when i bought the car it had no coolant just straight water and i did the water pump and it had huge scale deposites and icky crap , cavitated like hell.thats my main concern with the converter

The convertor is probably shot if its been run without proper coolant.
Vialle convertors are not cheap either from ford or other suppliers.

Just took off converter leaking a crap load off coolant.
