In the Owners Manual it states that -

The operation of traction control is not compatible with LPG installations
After market Gas installations may interfere with the operation of the TCS. This interference will render the system ineffective and cause the brakes to overheat and fade.

the way traction control works is by using a combination of ABS brakes and also cutting injection pulse width to stop the wheels spinning. On an aftermarket lpg system the pcm/tcs module doesnt have control of the gas system, and thus it will not operate as it should.
Every AU i've seen with aftermarket gas and tcs has the tcs light on all the time and it doesnt operate at all, but if it did, it could cause the brakes to work overtime in place of the injector pulse width cutting not having any effect.

Most of the latest LPG injection systems should work fine with these traction control systems as they are injector follower systems. ie. they follow the petrol injectors. Therefore when the factory ECU cuts the petrol injector pulses the LPG injectors will also cut.

The main problem was with the mixer ring style systems as the ECU had no control over the LPG mixture and the brakes would overheat trying to stop the wheels spinning when the engine still has full power.

Why would someone worry bout overheating of brakes. How often do you expect the traction control to be used. If you use it often, maybe your driving habits need to be rectified.

Once you remove your foot of the accelerator on an LPG vehicle, thats it. It idles down. Unless you brake using your left foot, I do not see the engine power as being a problem.

the system self tests itself every time u drive it.
like i said, every traction control equipped AU i've driven (and im a ford technician) with LPG fitted has the light on. Dont like it, dont fit LPG.

having said that in theory lpg injection should be a different story, but ive not seen it done so i'm not gonna guarentee it

Ok what about ABS. Is this affected by LPG installs?

i have fitted an au with lpg injection and the traction works the same as petrol. but as said all au's have the light come on with the lpg on. but the funny thing is on commodores u can disable the light with a relay
