hi all,
My newly purchased EF wagon has gas, but it doesn't work and I'm trying to work out why. I've checked that everything is connected correctly... and it does seem to be.. If the car is running on petrol, and you swap it to gas, the car dies immediately doesn't even try to fire.. not long after that you can smell gas coming from the engine somewhere.. (the converter and lines have no leaks.. I checked with soapy water and the ignition turned on.) I think the engine has a belly full of gas at this point as even when swapped back to petrol it takes a fair few turns before it fires back up.. (normally on petrol it fires almost instantly) What should I be looking for? regards and thanks, Frank |

Hi Ashcook.....
It would be ok for testing, it was just that the Gas line would not reach if it was mounted in place of the factory one.. but for testing I suppose it doesn't have to be. What sort of sealer do you use on the gas fittings? A gas guy told me he always put sealer on the gas fittings, but he didn't say what it was... any ideas? rgds Frank |
