Hi there,
Can anyone confirm if this can be done on a E Gas car?
I noticed a few versions for sal on E Bay and one states it is not for E Gas cars... I just wonder how / if or why is the E Gas air box different?

Cheers,
Damian

a couple of reasons, the lower half of the airbox in Egas cars has a fitting for the balance tube, which is integral in the gas system running correctly.
also, egas cars use long bolts with springs on them to allow any backfire pressure to get out, petrol fueled cars just use clips.
I wouldnt bother on an Egas car, as any gain u achieve will be lost in the extra restriction in the LPG throttle body.

Thanks for that... :)
It's all new to me and I am trying to learn about the beast.

So the throttle bodies are different / smaller than the petrol models?

If so is it possible / enough wall thickness in them to bore them out?

Cheers,
Damian

no the throttle body is the same size, but the gas induction setup which uses a venturi effect to draw the gas into the inlet manifold affects air flow. Not excessively, but yeh, i feel the standard induction setup is probably sufficient until you look at things like extractors/exhaust etc, altho id be careful putting extractors etc on a BF as well, they get angry with engine lights due to emission controls.
