Hello Gas fans,
I have an AUII factory gas wagon with vialle F-type converter which has decided to let some coolant in where it shouldn't be. I have found a BA dedicated gas converter I want to re kit to replace mine with and wanted to know if there are any major differences between the AU and BA/F/G converter which would not allow this exchange to work. Externally they look the same with perhaps the coolant flow connectors being different and the position of the cover being about 120 degrees counter clockwise on the AU compared to the BA/F/G but this looks more to do with how the converter is mounted in the car. The overhaul kit is the same for all F-Type converters so any assistance from anyone who has done this or has experience with it would be helpful. Fordad |

I just sat one of each next to each other on the bench to have a look for you.
Water fittings are different, just fit the ones you need. Front cover will need to be rotated to put the balance fitting in the right spot. The 4 mounting studs on the back are in the same place and the LPG inlet is the same thread and in the same spot. |

Mine just recently died, and picked up a good second hand one, looks to be off an AU, just had to extend the balance line but works no probs.
