Impco has the name for reliability. Set and forget for many years. Parnell can give better economy with the closed loop stepper motor system, but most people will steer clear of this system because it is more complicated and less reliable. Some on this forum like OMVL but my fitter claimed that Impco is much more reliable and economical in the long run.

Just get gas injection. Not sure on the brand names. But it is heaps better then previous system that was out.

Definitely go gas injection on an AUIII if you want top-notch performance and reliability. Some brands to look out for are Impco-BRC, OMVL (Sprint Gas), Tartarini, Romano and Eurogas. I've heard many favourable comments about the Tartarini system when fitted to a Ford Falcon I6.

Have seen both mixer style and injected systems from Airod/Tartarini ... and they work very well in both applications. Have even see the Airod converter with mixer and Tartarini ECU on B-series Falcons with no issues at all ... no backfiring ... nothing.
Runs very nicely indeed. All you need to do is make sure your spark system is in good condition and you will be fine.
