Not sure if this has been posted before, so sorry if it has. I was looking up news at theage.com.au and came upon this.
http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-news/f ... -qahx.html That cop car looks pretty mean, and for a Taurus it actually looks good. Searched 2010 Taurus to see how the standard car looks like...and came upon this http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/taurus/ I think Ford America finally got their design correct, only for the front end though. Rear end still needs some work. 2 choices of engines...Standard 3.5L V6 Duratec Engine with front wheel drive (AWD optional ) or a 3.5L Ecoboost DOHC V6 with AWD system. Ecoboost engine has 102hp more than standard and 101Nm of toruqe more with about the same miles to the gallon. Direct injection... I reckon that's not bad at all...and with the possibilities of a global platform sharing chassis, an AWD Falcon would be pretty cool. Not sure what engine would be used, but a 4L DOHC would be cooler IMO. phong =P~

I see the instrument cluster has both km/h and mph scales. Not a bad car, if not a bit hit and miss. I love the ambient lighting patterns, hate the gear stick, steering wheel is a bit "meh", centre console looks cluttered with buttons.. Instrument cluster looks very basic for 2010.
Since the Mondeo and Mazda 6 share the mid sized platform. They are the benchmark, and unfortunately the Taurus does not stack up on first impressions (interior wise at least). |
