Yeah ive got tonnes of vodaphone s**t here at home
even a few signed hats and shirts

hmmm wonder if ill get anything for it lol

all i can say is the sponsorship money from ford wouldn't have been "huge" anyway surely they could have found someone else to sponsor the multi champ winning team without going to holden

They will loose more through not selling f'all merchandise for the start of next year, and dealing with all the hate mail coming to thier hq

with soo many people liking them less thier also likly to loose some sponsorship deals

well i will still support them even if they are driveing a holden as they will teach ford lesson for pulling the funding away from them, but this started as of this season as thay did nto have anything ford on their cars so it was only a matter of time befor they crossed over to drive holden but also this dosent mean that i will rust out and buy a holden...

yes indeed its gheyer than a elton john and george micheal concert but WHY did they just spend millions in building a FG and stocking spares when they had all intentions to be doing this in 1 years time???

im sure the date isnt april 1 but to me doesnt make business sense to build 4 cars in one year - 2 x FG's and 2 x VE's

will be burning my team betta & vodafraud shirts as of bathurst.

they also basically finished another FG, they planned in 2010 to have tickets for sale for a ride in this FG with lowndes or wincup driving. its exactly like the v8 supercar but with 2 seats and safety gear

who will want to go in it now??????????????

what a WASTE OF MONEY

im really disappointed in ford...

and i cant see why they would defer after putting so much research into the FG?
i know 888 helped alot with that car to make it the way it is, and then they just up and leave?

ahh well, guess i wont be watching the v8 supercars anymore,
gives me a few more weekends a year to work on my own v8 supercar...

This comes as a shock, yet, look at Triple Eight Race Engineering's history in the UK, It is all GM based. They only went Ford when they came into Australia as that is what they could buy into.

Yeah, I appreciate some people will make their minds up on badge engineering alone, but a driver has a limited shelf life and must take advantage of whatever opportunities come along. Same as Russel Ingall crossing over isnt it? still wish the bloke all the best, but hope the falcons win. Didnt Lowndsey actually start out in a dunnydoor? ...sheesh! Oh well, Frosty's still solid, right???

Meh, wouldnt suprise me if the only thing that is Ford or Holden on these v8 supercars are the panels, as its the brains, the car, and the driver that win the races, not the badges. They'll probably just use the same chassis and setup and just chuck holden panels on it.

You know, all said and done... I think Lowndes is the most exciting and well loved driver on the track, but i am a Ford man, I cant support him next year or pay to join his fan club again. I wish Craig and his team well and hope they have success... I just think this is the year that will be the end of so many attendance and support for the sport because of Fords lack of help for the teams.. Sad, very sad..

There is always two sides to the story. But that said, I'm sure Fords sponsorship money wouldn't have been much of a setback to Triple eight, look at the vodafone sponsorship they have!! $$$

Ford shouldn't have pulled the pin on them, but they shouldn't have left and gone to Holden either. Just shows how easily sportsmen are pushed around when the $$$ are rolling.

Oh well, i ranted enough in the "off topic" section about this.

Time to start getting behind Frosty properly... although i can't see that bearing any fruits considering theres only a handful of Falcons left, and barely any of them can drive to win. Lowndes, Whincup and Frosty make up the Ford players on the championship list. So technically it's only Frosty on there now.

Ford never seem to learn do they. I hate Holdens, but s**t, who ever is the brains of the company, seems to be doing a much better job than the Ford big wigs.
