I saw this on the front cover of a V8 Supercars magazine when I was at the post office today. I havn't seen it mentioned on the forum here yet. But it says that Caltex arn't going to be sponsering any more, so I guess Ingalls going to be looking for some new colours.

 ... thats a pretty big sponsor to be "pulling the plug" wonder how much the 8 year association cost them? and leave me wondering just who is going to pick up the naming rights? certainly not a lil "corner shop"..

Well SBR should make sure they don't use Caltex fuel any more, to stop making Caltex money.. (If they did), thats so wrong; fuel companies should sponsor the V8 races, since their product is needed in order for the V8 super cars to run, V8 super cars would pay tens of thousands of dollars every year worth of fuel to companies like that, so at least they could do is sponsor, or give the V8 super cars free or at least very cheap fuel, yet all Caltex want to do is rip people off!, and charge over $1.56 per litre for normal 91 octane unleaded.. (Where I live any way).

Hopfully BP or some one else will take over and sponsor SBR....
good luck.....

Thing is Shell is the only fuel supplier for the V8 supercars. All the other companies only offer oil sponsorship. I think that's why caltex pulled out. They weren't getting as much out of it as they had expected. Time for them to start making some decent fuel instead of pulling out of sponsorship deals imo cause most people seem to think that vortex is not as good a fuel as something like V power.
