The Showgroup V8 Supercar people, including Mark Skaife and Mark Beretta stayed at the hotel I work at on the weekend. And a couple of them were down on Craig lowndes winning the way he did. From what they were telling me, obvious Holden fans themselves, was that the Lowndes Tander race was a very close run race, with Lowndes snatching the win in the last laps, in poor form.
I looked forward to watching the taped race after that, and when I did, I saw nothing of the kind. Tander was way behind, Lowndes was a freak winning amazingly well on Sprint tyres.

I did speak with Skaifey on Sunday morning when I checked him out of the hotel, I was manager on that morning. And I asked him who would win and he told me Lowndes on sprint tyres. I should have gone to the TAB with that! He's not silly. And he's a nice guy I have to tell you...

That result is what you expect with the current 2 tyre rule. Craig took the hit in race one for the result in race two. Always like Craig's style, except for the love taps. Pity he is going back to Holden but that is the teams choice probably not his.

absolutely loved it!!! all be the results a bit artificial with the sprint tyre and all.
i was really hoping he would grab another trophy before he goes back to the dark side.
