has anyone else seen the recall in todays paper?
it is for 2002-2007 models (i think, didn't read the whole thing cause it doens't apply to me  ) about the rear brakes failing.
might want to get it checked out if you've got one of them!

its not a recall as such, its a campaign.
ford have tested vehicles and they wills till work if something goes wrong. you dont need to rush your car in fearing death due to failed brakes. next time you are getting work or a service is fine, just double check that they will check it out.

The rear hoses you say.. My uncles BA Fairlaine blew 2 rear brake hoses almost 2 years ago. So its not something new.

whichever newspaper you are reading it is about a month behind the times.
it is a durabiliy issue with ba/f sedans. its to do with the irs so utes and wagons not affected.

i saw some thing like that on a baII not long ago.
its that the rear brake hose is just not long enough and when the shock is fully extended the line pulls out of the metal housing

We had a taxi driver looking for a repleacement rear BA hose not long after he had bought the car aswell. |

i herd it on the radio some time this week, apparently its not just ford, holden, toyta and nissan are having brake problems aswell

if your car is having the correct servicing etc it will be rectified next service you have at a dealer.
You can request it be done on its own but i know that the parts arent in wa to do it yet. I dunno about anywhere else. Also if your car is being serviced correctly a brake line rubbing thru and splitting should be picked up before it becomes an issue. |

yeah when i dropped my car in for service they told me there was a recall ont he rear hoses as they had some cases of them splitting.
couple of hours later it was all done
