Riced up? A 4WD turbo laser, focus, fiesta, KA, terror torry, hell probably even a LWB like the galaxie 540 concept. I would not call any of them riced up. Just goes to show how very different HSV and FPV really are. FPV are more like BMW's M division or like what AMG is to mercedes.

And HSV is just that. Holdens s**t Vehicles.

I reckon it'd be great for the company, it'd really show that FPV stands for FORD Performance Vehicles, not FALCON Performance Vehicles. HSV really should be renamed CSV - I mean that's the only Holden car they touch, Commodores.
It'd also build up the FPV line up and help FPV to nail HSV in the sales even further. And imagine the embarresment to HSV if FPV builds 4 bangers that beat there HSV's!

By the way, Carsguide really need to start watching what there saying
Quote:
FPV F6 Tornado ute: four straight months ahead of HSV in sales
That caption implies that the F6 has been part of FPV beating HSV in sales when in reality they're only being released now.

One other thing to consider is that the embarresment of the clutch failure on FPV's sales has been nothing, I mean in the time of this insident and problem fixing the sales have been the best ever. I still claim it's been more of an ad - FPV, the company that builds motors to powerful for the driveline - that'd be how a lot of knobs would view it.

Can you imagine what HSV will say?
You know what I'd love if FPV are sucessful at it and HSV start trying to copy, we'll have print out the old press release were HSV says there sticking to V8's and tape them on every window at the Holden dealers.

Just get pics of that bloke who got his mums clubby airborne early this year and tape that to every showroom window in every dealership. A picture is worth a thousand words. Especially that one.

Not a bad idea for FPV. In this day and age, you can't afford to just stick to one market and hope for the best. Petrol is getting more expensive and 4cyls have proven they can be the goods..

Ok guys and any gals....

Didn't anyone buy or flick thru the current edition of MOTOR (May 05)????

If you did then you would have seen that HSV are set to release its own personally tuned Astra SRi Turbo in Oz. Sure they are just copying the european HPC Opel Astra concept, but it is still a turbo 2.0-litre four pot banger.

What's ridiculous is HSV expects to sell them around the $50,000 mark so it makes it easy for people to overlook it all together.

F**k Idiots!

Early febuary there was some pics getting around on various of some wank who took his mummas VY clubby and ended up crashing into a victorian holden dealership. Caused about 300k worth of damage or thereabouts. I think its in offtopic in here.
