Sad situation but a sign of the times I'm affraid.
I would imagine these last Fairlanes will hold their resale value very well! Grumbles

Fairlanes are ugly, should have ditched them years ago.

Don't know if they were "ugly" but the latest one certainly was way too much like a stretched falcon... not enough development money unfortunately, but thems the breaks |

I liked the AU Fairlane. Could have bought my uncles Fairlane Ghia 4 years ago for $16,000 which was just on 4 years old as it was a company car, thats the same price he got for trade in. I was spewing he didnt tell me 3 months earlier when i bought my Fairmont. It is a sad day for Ford Australia but as said its a sign of the times but its not all bad as there will be more employment through the locally built focus and mondeo.

one of my uncles recently bought a bf fairlane. champagne in colour with dark grey around the lower part. first time i've actually bothered to look at one up close and it is a very nice piece of machinery. awesome car. would expect resale to be a little better than previous models although he still paid a lot less than new price for a 1 yr old car.
