Faulty tail gates. apparently the latches spring open? 34,000 vehicles to be recalled.

sounds like the VE isnt all its been pumped up to be. early v8's engine bays caught fire, seat belt issues.

Im still waiting for complants to start about the head gaskets on the alloytec. as we all know too well, an alloy solution isnt easy

lol this is news to me. and i work at Poysers
never heard of any Alloytec head gasket issues. or engine bays catching on fire or seat belt issues

you can find all car recalls here..
it goes back as far as 1986

Alloy and head gasket? Im sorry but haven't you heard of the e series falcon.. Look at them a little funny and bam head gasket gone. Also I work at a wreakers and much more falcs in there. Couple falcons were burnt out real good.

My cousin who has only ever bought new or near new holden's has just traded his VE calais V 6.0 for a Ford G6E turbo! He was sick of all the issues with the VE, the bodgy handbrake getting stuck on was last straw. Im sure the FG's have just as many problems as the VE but the FG did not cost a billion dollars to make, come on what a joke its not that great

ive heard of recalls on the ve, and a brake related recall on ba and bf but has there been any fg related recalls? how can the much touted ve cop so many and the fg so little?
