well still over 6months to go, but ive fallen in love with the EF II GLi Classic.....

should be able to pick one up between 4500 and 6grand tops, we'll see closer to the time the best deal/car that comes accross.

anywys hit me with your suggestions and thoughts and is it a good first car etc etc.. lol

If you buy a GLi you'll end up with a Ghia.

Standard procedure when your a member on FordMods.

You'll endlessly upgrade to all the ghia options, and end up spending more on it than buying a Ghia to start with!

In a way, Its more fun, and you'll get to know the car better!

i said 6 grand but i would very unlikely spen that unless it already had been lowered/had a sound sytem or something worthwhile. these are the cars i have been tossing up for a while:

EF XR6
EF II GLi
EL/EF Fairmont ghia
possibly maybe a futura.

i had my heart set on the xr6 but they seem to expensive like around 8-11 grand, but i havent really done any serious research.
i really love the look of the II GLi but as u guys are saying the Fairy is more extras n more luxurious.. so yeah

i hope to get my car 5 grand or under so i have a little left to start my mods :P

i dont see an EL Fairmont Ghia in that list? They had the tickford running gear. Only the EF II Fairmont Ghia's and onwards had this.

If you dont like the EL Fairmont grille, it can easily be swapped for a EF Fairmont, NF/NL Fairlane grille....... i think
