If you bought a Mustang would you prefer it to be left or right hand drive? Personally I'd prefer right hand as it'd feel more normal and that! But a lot of people seem to prefer left hand as it's more original or something (personally I put my driving experience as higher priority that weather the cars original or not).

So if you want it original does that mean you wouldn't modify it at all either?
I don't know about on the mainland states, but here the RHD seem to be able to pass rego easy as I see a lot of them driving around. It's actually quiet suprising how many mustangs are around here! Last edited by twr7cx on Fri Feb 03, 2006 6:05 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

I'd want RHD as i dont think i can register LHD as an everday driver here in SA... historical/special rego or some s**t, they limit the kms you can do in it...

If i wanted a full original mustang that i had no intention of modifying then i would leave it LHD
But if i wanted to modify it then i would definately change it to RHD.

the ONLY restriction we used to have was a big sticker on the rear windows "Caution Left Hand Drive" which was compulsory - the rules have since changed and that rule has gone - now you can drive it as much as and regular as any other car. Which makes me think once again W.A. is miles ahead of anyother state with licence rules, especially licence plates!!!

the only advantage of rhd is being able to go to a macca's drive thru by yourself. the advantage of lhd is when cruising, (perving, sightseeing) what eva you want to call it you get a better look as you are closer to the sight you want to see, considering we drive on the left side of the road. if i had the coin to own a stang it would have to be lhd. as for the caution lhd stickers we don't have them here in qld any more either. |

i have driven a few of them a couple of stangs, a vett, and last but not least the biggest 2 door you will probably ever see, a chrysler new yorker, about 4 ton of steel with doors about 5 feet long, a steering wheel about the size of a greyhound bus road wheel, and a factory fitted big block which from memory run 13.2 or 13.9 in full street trim.
