Yeah funny how they chose those s**t tail lights for the EL Gli/Futura and XR series, but kept the EF tail lights in the high series EL?
To me those crap tail lights should have been in the EF, pretty stupid to go backwards on the next model. As for fronts the EF definately looks better than the EL, but i'd take the EL XR front over EF XR anyday. |

I must admit, I fell in love with the look of the NA Fairlane in 1989. I said to many that I'd own one one day.
But later. I really fell in love with the EF GLI. Loved that front end! But I felt the Fairlanes were awe inspiring. They looked smooth in those tv ads. I absolutely felt the EF/EL Fairmonts were absolutely something special. I was dissapointed when I later found out even they didn't have IRS though. Back to my question though. Anyone know how you'd know if your car was stretched by the last owners neglectful towing methods? |

I think you'd start to notice gaps in the doors, even creases down the rear quarters, doors hard to close etc.
I remember this because early series Commodores had that problem from heavy towing. Oh when i say early, i mean VB to VK and prob VL. |

EF falcon front ends are the best of the whole E series. They look the cleanest.

I only hope thats true as i like the story, hahah! BTW: the review seems very accurate to me. Oh, NL rear lights cant be fitted to anything but fairlane/ltd. EF standard front end kills EL, but EL xr kills EF IMHO, fairmont and up were basically same, so meh. All in all stop your bickering as they are all good cars. Cheap reliable equiped nice looks, got it all.

Yer, true - there is a couple of niggly problems they have left out; altho i guess the owners would know more of them. I havnt had this porblem in either of mine tho, maybe im just lucky.
