Anyone seen the ad with all the blokes around a BBQ with squeaky voices. Then their mate Johnno turns up and they ask him how is it and he says in a husky voice. " Bloody awesome Mate!". I reckon the new Courier looks Tough and sort of a "F" Series truck looking Hybrid.

the ad is ancient, but the V6 in the couriers is new to australia

gah, great, crew cab only in the XLT's (the only V6 non crewcab is a 4x4 supercab)

oh well.... so much for any thoughts of getting a lease on one for a work ute

The new powerplant is Courier's first V6 engine, borrowed from the US light truck, Ranger, and similar to the the 4.0-litre engine in Explorer

hopefully its only similar in size and oil filter. Explorer motors are unreliable. braking timing chains all the time

i read about this somwhere around a week ago, i was amazed that they get such a powerful v6 - 154kw is damn good for a tradies car.
i can see some lowering them on their face, turning em into mini trucks, and they would probably have some go too.

yeh it seems to be around the 150000km mark that exploders start having problems..
timing chain issues
torque converter issues
transfer case issues.

exploders hahah that's what we call them at work.
mum and dad had one, perfect car, but the engine light came on the dash, ford couldn't remove it, and the day we sold it (that being the reason, we found out that all you have to do is disconnect the battery for a little while then reconnect it.
