Clipsal 500 is won by the person who crosses the line first in the Main Race (second race), so it dont matter if you had a DNF in the first race you can still win the Clipsal 500 by taking out the Main Race, I know what a load of crap that is, It means you could take a main rival out completely in race one and then take home the silver ware in race two, it just dont f**k compute.

i think of it like this
its only one 500km race, so if you win the 500km race you win the round. its broken into two parts, which are two parts which make up the one race the first part is for points, plus gives you the opportunity to get yourself in a good starting position for the second half of the race

They started twice so its two races not one.
They adjust the points this year and still get it all wrong. I'm just interested in Bathurst and championship from this point. Its not hard to get the points and stuff to work out. If you want one race for 500km then start once and the first to complete is the winner.......none of this tea break crap. |

Yep, same here. And Sandown. I love that race. I also don't understand how they can class it as one race.
