after reading that it would seem ch10 are a bit p****d but its still primes fault, all this s**t should have been sorted out before they made a bid for the contract.

its because channel 7 wants to have every thing its way ie: football,v8supercars all they do is do a s**t job at all of it trying to juggle everything easy answer is 1 channel gets football the other gets v8supercars,than they can rotate that each year, and the other channel well they can have i dont know the mid day movies but putting it all on the one channel just isnt working,tv s**t me 2 hours racing take out the adds and see 20 minutes racing

it is f**k
a 4 way with the footy? stoopid idea! seriously 1 channel should do the footy the other the v8's OR EVEN BETTER a new dedicated free to air sports channel!, IFthe ppl were smart tehy could air the same games and events at different times in different states! IE WCE home game delayed perth ( to get more ppl to games etc ) but live inn eastern states and vice versa could also alow re runs of the events, also advertising would be prime as ad breaks limited!

I remember a time when drag racing was the number 1 motorsport in the country and the way things are going with V8 supercars i can soon see a return to the days of drag racing being number 1.

i read an article somewhere recently that showed f1 was more popular than v8's. i was quite amazed at that because although i'm a mad f1 fan, most people i talk to say its boring.
v8's are claimed to be doing well by the industry itself but even ford are being rumoured to be rethinking their financial backing of the sport. there is always the talk of a third manufacturer coming in. i personally think the sport is not doing that well. to those who follow it closely the cars that race no longer have anything in common bar the basic shape and badge to the cars that we see everyday. its almost a 1 make series in a sense. aero, tyres, brakes, minimum weight, engine displacement, etc all under project blueprint. expenditure caps coming. then there's the rule stretching/breaching by certain teams that goes unpunished. i'm almost over it. twice already this year i've left the lounge and done other things when normally i would watch from start to finish. end rant

I haven't watched a full round in over 3 years. Got better things to do than waste my sunday arvo infront of the TV. I'll watch an hour of speedweek and maybe catch the F1 if I'm up so late but that's pretty much it.

i got a reply from one of the emails i sent after the round at winton.
Dear Robert Thank you for your email. Seven apologises. The finalisation of the AFL broadcast schedule in February - covering AFL, Ten, Seven and Foxtel - followed a final resolution of scheduling of V8s and AFL in only the Adelaide market and has impacted only Adelaide for two rounds. Seven is working with V8 Supercars to ensure that the 2008 broadcast schedule for V8 Supercars does not lead to a clash in the coming year. Seven again apologises. V8 Supercars Australia Pty Ltd PO Box 607, Southport BC, QLD, 4215 Email: reception@V8supercars.com.au Web: www.v8supercar.com.au feedback: to whom it may concern, i would like to know who is responsible for ch7's telecast times?? are they set by the network or by the v8supercar co.?? why is adelaide, home of arguably the best event on the calendar, being shafted by the network regarding viewing times? not only is the coverage shoved back to some unearthly hour at night, it is also shorter, in some cases over an hour shorter. last round, race 2 at winton was edited with no explanation whatsoever. this is not good enough and i notice that there is 3 more events scheduled to be the same. if its clashing with the footy why are the eastern teams not being affected. melb and syd are not stuffed around once. there would be no sport if it wasn't for the fans so i don't see why we get treated in this way. regards one of the many unhappy south aussies!! i always new it was a scheduling clash. just thought it would be nice for them to openly admit it instead of trying to blame everyone else. just tell people,'yes we were greedy and bit off more than we could chew'. still doesn't explain why they need to cut the telecast short at 10:30 at night. maybe quiz shows rate higher.
