Hell yeah!

The Gold Coast round has only been a round for a few years now. They are just a support feature for the main event, Indy. Its a trackd esigned for Indy, not V8 Supercars.

Leave it alone...grrrr  :D :D

So it's difficult to pass... how does that make it a bad track?

Puts greater emphasis on qualifying, driving clean and staying out of pit lane as much as possible. People make the same criticism of monaco but its still one of the best races on the F1 calendar.

If someone qualifies in front of you and doesnt make a mistake during the race then they deserve to finish in front of you. It's an old fashioned racing concept, lost to a generation of fans who want wide tracks with lots of passing and lots of crashes.

Patience in motorsport is a dead breed.

Gold coast demands more patience in a short race than bathurst does during its entire 161 laps.

I think its a good spectacle. Big, colourful cars being muscled around a tight, busy track.

I could handle difficult to pass but impossible to pass is another story.

To me its like watching a single procession of really fast cars. Lowndes had the speed over Bright and for lap after lap could not pass. Sure the slower cars at the back can be passed by the quicker front runners but that happens all the time no matter what track so what we want to see is the quicker drivers have a battle but on that track its hopelessly deadlocked.
I'm going to have to disagree with you there 4.9 EF Futura.

I just got off the phone to a mate who deals with FPR, he spoke to them on the phone and he said what the f**k were you guys thinking with Lowndes, the guy from FPR said i know i know, it wont happen again.
From what he said the big knobs at Ford were pretty p****d off about it and have basically said if Lowndes is coming up then let him go by.

you think?? it's just follow the leader. if it was any other country it would have been pulled off the racing calender years ago, it just draws in too much money!!

Agreed, that decision not to let Lowndes pass Bright could cost ford the Championship. I mean really all the ford teams who are not in the running to win the championship should be doing everthing in their power to help those who are to keep it from holdung for another year not fight about it. I bet the big guys at Ford are p****d with FPR!

that would be colluding and rigging a race - you can get into trouble for doing that!!!

Didnt you see the start of the third race. Nicely orchastrated to help the prick. And I dont care that Bright and Ingall didnt pull to one side for Lowndes. Dont get me wrong, I hope Lowndes wins the championship but dont forget, FPR and SBR have sponsors as well who pay good money to see their brand up front. Another point to consider is Brights team mate, Winterbottom is still a contender and was running in front of Lowndes at the time as well as the fact that Ingall is still up there with a chance.

The worst part was Bright intentionally blocking, he left the door open a few times and as Lowndes started to come through he cut him off, not very fair i think, whether it was a Ford or Holden doing it.
