Yeh, aqward, but i would like to know the answer for sure..

does anyone know what the penalty for underage and unlicenced driving is if you are pulled over by police?

being 17 and all just a bit curious cos i heard u cant get your licence for 5 years but i think thats BS.

if you know let me know, thanks alot

i got busted a few years back.

they take your car and sell it, including all the stuff inside, you cant take anything out of it (stereo etc)
i was told i couldnt get my license for 2 years, but never got an official letter stating it. i think if you havnt paid the fines you cant, but if its in spur or paid you can get them.

yes. im 22 and only just got my P's due to that, and now im stuck on restrictions... no V8's no turbo no supercharged and nothing over 200kw.

i wish i done it right the first time, but please people learn from my mistake.

your not only putting your life at stake your putting others. i didnt realise at the time but all if any insurance is void, so if you hit someone or something your in big s**t. if you hit someone in the car their hospital bills can go into the 100's of thousands of dollars which would ruin yours and their lives. its just not worth it

but in saying that im going to court next week for doing something i shouldnt of done . . .

anyway you surely only have a few months to go before you can drive alone? so why risk it? just wait you will have a whole life time of driving, whasts another couple of months going to matter?

exactly what i was trying to say, if you stuff it up now you will be stuffed for along time, possibly your whole life if something does go wrong (depending how bad)

oh another way to think of it, your driving along and a drunk guy t-bones you and you end up in a wheel chair, he walks away with no charge apart from drunk behind the wheel. as your legally not suposed to be there, and the courts see it as if you wernt driving illegally then you wouldnt have been there (actually happened to a family friend)

yeh thanks for all the feed back its a bit of a wake up call and some good points.

yeh i got just under 10 months to go i wont risk it.. its not worth the risk of f%*!king up.

Ill let some of my mates know as well cos i go out for a drive with them a bit- but btter to play it safe.

i hope u dont think im just an underage idiot who causes trouble i just love driviing i get every minuete i can in the car legally with my L's.

Any suggestions for a first car btw? Definatly ford, thinking Falcon, 5-8 Grand maybe depends if i get family to chip in lol. no turbo, v8 etc.

Thanks again every1

Well this is deffinatly the site for all the e series stuff you'll ever need to know.

btw dont unlicence drive. there was a kid around a little while ago with a b series. stock. said it was the 'f**k most powerful thing on the road' endded up looping it and doing $4000 damage to the susspension/undercarage (albit he was 'hooning') but dont d**k with it.

and if you need/want any advice never hesitate to ask

Cheers mate
