i think, from the coppers perspective, he thought that your application of the throttle was too excessive and subsequently, too noisy. Same with people getting tickets for "excessive acceleration" and such. All would be similar things, and down to the individual coppas discretion. THey could probably even pull up grandad in the camry if they wanted to! Still, a bit over the top in my opinion.

next theyre probably gonna fine people for excessive braking when there hitting the picks because some f**k in a fully sik VN pulls out infront of you. you get the fine, and Habib in his VN takes off like a bat out of hell, and the cop dosent even notice.

too noisy on albany hwy??? either the cop is deaf and only heard my car or he was just being a prick. i only had enough pedal on to get accross traffic and in my car thats not loud.... which again brings the question how can one cop decide whats to excessive in throttle or noise.

never been to perth, so don't know the albany hwy. I would probably say he was just being a prick, or had a bad day to be in the prick mood, and needed to get the quota up.

Yer I've had roughly 6 'random' licence checks in the past 6 weeks. Thats twice as many as Ive had in the past 3 years. Good to see lots of cops around, but seriously they should be where they are needed, not cruising around the suburbs.

Btw, are cops allowed to open your bonnet and look through your car after waving you off the road (he was on the sidewalk, no camera).

All they have to say is 'due cause to believe...' and they can look where ever they really like...... having a body kit, exhaust, dark tint etc etc.. means cause to believe illegal modifications... dont know how that would go if chalenged. gotta love the 'hoon' laws.
