Just read today that Lowndes will partner with Mueller(BTCC winner in 2002,i think  )for the enduros(Sandown,Bathurst). Why not with Richards? What a lethal combo that would've made!!From memory, the last european import(for enduros only)that was succesful(discounting the Eggenburger Sierras)was Thomas Mezera, yet he partnered Brock in probably the best car in its day.
Anyways, here hopes Lowndes can get rid of his Bathurst/Ford voodoo...........Go Lowndesy!!

i can't believe how much he was reeling in skaife once his splitter let go.
skaife was lucky he had the dry tyres.

i had the telly going at work today, but it seemed like i missed every good bit. every time i got a chance to watch the field had completely changed and i had no idea what was going on. seemed like it would have been a very exciting race to watch though! stupid work.

skaife got his lead due to weather. started to rain and everyone dived in for wets but hrt rolled the dice and stayed out on slicks. it worked as the rain stopped and so everyone had to go back in for slicks and so he ended up 57 sec in front. then the rain did come and lowndes/muller were one team that didn't change back to slicks between rain intervals and so skaife stopped for wets and when he came out he was the length of the straight ahead of muller but then he went off at the first corner and muller got him back. later in the race hrt decided to play the economy game to try to get out of stoppin again which is how he ended up back out in front by 40 odd sec as most had to stop for fuel. as he couldn't push though lowndes was able to reel him in. in the end skaife needed a splash and dash anyway. awesome race. too bad stone bros had an off day. lowndes generally does well at bathurst so this year we could have ford 1, 2 and 3 in championship.

Was an awesome race, Got a bit chilly in the grand stand tho ;)

At one stage it looked like it was going to be a complete Holden podium. I didn't really care if Holden one, aslong as it wasn't Skaife, or Rick Kelly. The only two drivers I can't stand.

Can't complain with Lowndes sponsored by Betta Electrical winning the Betta Electrical 500 :) I was sitting there with my 888 shirt and CL hat :)

funny how they call it a front splitter - that's just what it did SPLIT.
The way it was going it looked like skaife was going to win it, but how things can change.

Skaife was never really gonna win this race, but look out for him at Bathurst ,the main reason the car was falling apart was- HRT couldn't find the "sweet" spot on this track this time, so they done what any good team would do, use a car that is set up close to what they would use in qualifying, hoping they could learn more as the race went on & hoping like f**k hell there would be dramas and/or weather changes so they could keep the tyres up to the beast.
But all ended well ,with the right make crossing the line first!
p.s I dislike Skaife as much if not more than any one ,but the man is still a top steerer as is Todd Kelly, I think Stone brothers were mad to let him go by?
