quickest in that it's got the lowest time to cover the quarter mile, and fastest in that it hold the record for the highest terminal speed as it crosses the traps at the end of the quarter mile

For those of you unfamiliar with John Force and his Ford Mustang he is the equivalent to Victor Bray and his 57 Chev but better by a country mile in Funny Cars.John Force actually started his Funny Car racing career her in OZ then returned to the U.S.A to be a dominate force in it for the past 19years. Anyway here is the link to the American Funny Car fan site that holds up the FORD flag for us FordFans

Define Fast ? Because I have seen quite a few humble road going Ferraris go very fast to say the least.

look you are taking me out of context.

this mustang is hardley a ford.

it somewhat resembles what was a mustang.

its like australians claiming ownership of russel crowe when hes goin good.

i see it as u milking this as a victory to ford for the developmental skills, when in reality ford wouldnt have done anythign at all for the 4.6s 1/4 mile time now would they?

a road going ferarri will not have a chance in a race (circuit) against shcumachers f1 will it?

then u cant say who said ferrari wasnt that fast when the F1 is going good......

i say fordsd arent fast (only talking about a festiva here) but meh u get my point yet?

Ummm... yes I get your point now! Yes Ford generally would probably be to far to conservative to do something like this Unfortunately
