How come all the other new Cruise Mods get the Cruise Moderator title, yet I don't?

I'll tell you what's going on. Fordmods is implenting a new policy this year. From now on, cruise mods will no longer be able to organise and post up cruises 8-)

Actually they have not. People don't bother coming and so it is pointless with the small attendance and it happens to be the same few that attend

thats just like giving up!!
well in that case whats the point of having cruisemods?
if cruisemods dont create cruises and shows no one gets a chance to participate..
it cant hurt to post an events or a cruise... you never no!!
i know in some cases people have other things on and cant make it, thats life!!
i mean who cares if ony 2 or 3 cars attend..
atleast they tried..... :)

Ok here is my take on a few things and a couple of ideas that might be worthy of discussion or maybe a trial implementation.
Firstly this isnt an attack on any of the cruise moderators. Its a prick of a job and it would not be any easier with the new cruise mods still waiting for their access to the forum.
This is just a couple of ideas.

The biggest killer for me and Donna getting to cruises is either work commitments or having to pay the bills. I do not believe we are Robinson Cruso there.

So how about a set time of each month is set for a cruise weekend? Maybe the 3rd Saturday or Sunday is the weekend a cruise is always on. This allows people who work shift (and from getting to know people there is actually quite a few of us) to be able to check work rosters and possibly be able to change their shift rotations to fit in to come out on a cruise.
I realise that the cruise are generally listed with 3 weeks to a months notice , but it doesnt help the people who's roster is actually booked 6 weeks at least in advance. I know with us , we can change our shift rotation to be able to fit in with things but it has to stay to a pattern , we just cant swap around willy nilly without it causing issues at work. So for us as an example we could make sure we had the cruise day free when we are working out our month calender. I believe there would be more other people in the same boat as us.

People also dont attend due to dollar issues. Maybe if every second month was a big cruise and the other month was something small and local? Gives people the ability to work out their budgets and save some spare coin if required to attend.

Also how about a cruise mod sets up an unofficial cruise thread? I know there have been some of us who have met up to do things at other times that have not been an official meet.
People could then chuck up a post that they are going to the drive in tonight for example , who wants to attend? and put up a meet time and place , and a time they will be leaving there. Gets everyone out and about more , plus if people come out to a small unofficial cruise and enjoy themselves , they might come to more official cruises?
Personally when I first went down to Liverpool I at first found it pretty confronting getting to know everyone. Maybe some people are thinking that way too with an official cruise , that there will be heaps of people. There are shy people about , I am actually one of them until I get to know people.

Just a couple of ideas to chuck around , it is by no means an attack on anyone!
