Hi Fellow Members,
The Fordmods Admin Group is seeking two people to join our sydney nsw Cruise Moderator team. If you are interested and committed to organising regular meets we welcome you. You will be working with other cruise moderators so if you cant make an event the other moderators should be able to run it. here is some info on whats expected from you in this position. Your Role as a Cruise Moderator is to organise cruises and social events in your state/area. This is a very important part of Fordmods as this is how we think Fordmods.com can get bigger and better. So basically you guys are here to keep our member base active and recruit more members by running Cruises/Meets/Social Events etc in your state/area You are each representing Fordmods.com in your state and we expect that you will all conduct your cruises and behaviour on cruises in Fordmods best interest. Fordmods.com will not tolerate dangerous driving/burnouts/illegal behaviour by its members or especially cruise moderators. There is a time and place for everything and we expect you will use your judgement accordingly. You have the authority to act immediately on offenders during the cruise, please report any such activities to the Senior Mod's as soon as you get a chance. Any member that breaches these will not be welcome to Fordmods or its meets again. Suggestions For Cruises/Meets/Social Events Cruises and meets can only be as limited as your imagination Here is some suggestions of successful events held previously to give you an idea -Ford Car Show Days/Show N Shine Day/Car Show -Simple Cruises followed by dinner/lunch/BBQ etc -Drag Day's -Skid Pan Day's -Dyno Day's -Install Day's -Mid Week Cruises - Short Urban cruises - ie coastal or nearby mountain etc -Laser wars/Skirmish/Paintball -Go Karting -Theme park evening/Day - Generally can get all day tickets to Luna park etc -Boat cruise -Overnight Trips to regional area's -Cruises To lakes, parks, reservoirs, Mountains, War memorials, fun parks (toboggans) -Driver Education Day if your interested copy and paste the below list with your user name.. 1) 2) 3) 4) |

Guys, just to better explain the role of the cruisemod I should point out that it's not just about coming up with creazy new ideas for events, but overall promotion of Fordmods (both online and social) in your local area.
Going back 10 years when Fordmods begun, a cruise would simply be meeting at a set point (quite often Five Dock either for the Sydney boys) - have a chat, check out the cars and do a short cruise on a weeknight (or weekend night) - just an hour or two. We'd get anywhere from 3-10 cars. This would happen once or twice a month. Once every couple of months we'd do a weekend day cruise - National Park, Old Road, Bathurst, Wollongong - usually attracting 10+ cars. We would make a day of it, stop somewhere for a bite on the way with time to chat cars at the meeting point, lunch and finishing point. So for those of you worried about not having any "ideas" - you dont need any. The above model has worked great in the past, we just need someone who is willing to make the effort to set a date, make plans, stick to it and promote it to everyone, especially encouraging first timers to come along as this is the only way that the scene will grow. Attendance by the cruise moderators is preferred, but not required - so there's no excuse for people who have lots of time to be cruisemods at work during business hours but are too busy to attend meets in person.

I'm still in, if ya want. have got a few ideas for cruises and such, and i know exactally what you mean about promoting the club. I Mean i have talked online here and found everyone to be top people, and i reckon we have a good foundation to build Fordmods into a pretty well-known club.

Mexicans may want an additional cruise mod, Attention to detail is required though.
