What about the new Lpi Falcon, more kw and torque than a stocker six, cheaper to run than a flogged Ecoboost, but where is the adverts?
As much as the Ecoboost is somewhat a good idea I don't see it as a long life engine, considering how hard it has to work to push something of that weight, I look at the short life of a lot of new high performance diesels, I just hope I am wrong as it will just be another nail in the coffin.

Have a look at Toyota 4.5L twin turbo V 8 diesel, 195kw "650nm" stock, it is no slouch in a 200 series which weighs about 3 ton.
