Ford’s sixth-generation Mustang has broken cover a day before it will be officially revealed.

The blue oval's simultaneous gala reveals of the new Mustang have been spoilt by a Detroit-based Magazine.

An Autoweek cover spread featuring the new coupe has been leaked across the web just a day before Ford shows off the Mustang at events in the US, China, Spain, Great Britain and Australia.

Ford has cloaked a new Mustang in secrecy while shipping it into Sydney’s technology park in Redfern for a local reveal set for Thursday night.

The finished car appears quite similar to computer illustrations that made their way around the web in October.

Differences include a purposefully sculpted bonnet similar to the unit used on V8 models by Ford Performance Vehicles.

A brightly coloured, aggressively-shaped rear diffuser also comes as a surprise.

Further details surrounding the car will be released on Thursday, where Ford is expected to announce that the new Mustang will retain V8 power at the top of its range while offering a smaller turbocharged engine in more affordable models.

It will be the first new Mustang in a decade for Australia, following a limited run of cars converted from left hand drive from 2001 to 2003.

I am sure that after Ford gets done with adding this and that (dollar wise) that the price of this beast will put it out of the reach of ordinary Aussies anyway,

Truly I do love Mustangs and have done since I saw the first one in a magazine when I was a boy but, it's sad that I will never get to own one. Maybe I can wait 10-15 years and buy one of these New ones? :D

It's a pity they couldn't have used the bonnet of the last year's stang? more like this:

And what would that be? Wheels and a sticker kit? Its all they have done for years, no wonder they are soon to be extinct.
