Hell, all good. Tell you what tho, I dissagree on a number of points. One being "it's not about how it looks, but how it works"... Mate, if I don't like the look of something, I don't give a s**t about how it works coz I ain't gonna be buying it.

a forum isnt usually about buying anything... its about sharing information and ideas... the idea of this upgrade is to make it easier for us to contribute useful information and find what we're looking for...

There are teathing problems. some of which are being coded out as we speak.

the site is a little plain. but that is all basic format issues. i'm sure it will be sexed up a little.

bottom line is, the admins saw fit that the site needed a change. Its not for your benifit only.

Keep up the good work FAG!

If I was going to suggest anything on the colour scheme it would be to say that the background is fine white but maybe use a very light blue or grey as the background to posts. That would break up the white and make things a little easier on the eye. On my forum, which is a similar colour scheme, posts are a light shade of grey making them stand out against the white background...

Cheers
RD

Keep the feedback coming guys - wether it be good or bad but keep the feedback central to this thread!

Im not a fan of the white personally also, too bright!

Fordmods v2 had a good layout and was functional, however the time had cometo upgrade to v3 due to the amount of options available etc. Rather than trying to code them into v2 it was decided that a facelift and current software would be the better choice.

As said things will changing over the next few weeks as glitches, bugs, designs are sorted out , so keep checking back in

works fine for me!

I think it's because you're admin.
I can't even quote you properly without hiding the img code.

EDIT: Another glitch. Seems "new posts" don't go away. I've closed my browser, but when I hit the "new posts" link when I open it again, I still have 4 pages of new posts.

Thanks, the screenshot helped. Should be working now.

Gawd almighty! My eyes are burning haha! Can't say i'm a fan of the white background. But overall, the new forum looks great! I'm sure once we have used it a bit more, navigation will become easier, just give it time

Oooo, just checked out the User Gallery, that rocks! But i don't remember anything being pointed out about being able to edit your posts. Any chance, in time, this will be enabled again?

Ok i want to apologise for starting the thread titled the new fordmods is gay without making sure there was not a feedback thread, Thanks Nicko for pointing that out.

Yes the new look if fresh but i think the blue colour sceme was what made this site more popular than the rest, not to mention this is a ford site.

I know my old sig does not fit in the new format and have noticed after it being mentiond it does not appere anymore.

I am happy to make a smaller one if i ever find out how to get to my account settings?

Any chance of locking the thread i started?

Cheers

Josh

Get over it Frank, change is upon us :P What matters is that you can use the forums to communicate with other members efficiently. It's now a s**t-load faster, so for the most part I think we've acheived the goal of having a more efficient website. I'm surprised that it's slower for you, maybe your machine is full of spyware and porn :P
