Waggin is on drugs. When a document states """""Signatures must not contain Pornographic Material, Racist Content (displayed or implied), Commercial advertising (other than our sponsors) or exceed a pixel size of 500x120 pixels and no larger than 100k file size. Signatures if text based must not exceed 5 lines of text; Offending signatures will be deleted with no notice.""" it is read as 500HORIZONTAL by 120 VERTICAL. If we could all do 500 VERTICAL then all hell would break loose.

Also, am not convinced on the argument that you are fitting more on each page now Waggin. I promise you that you actually aren't...

Josh's signature is 120px high and 422px wide. It must be you who is on the mind altering drugs, in which case, please share them around.

Is there any reason you dont upload an attachment on Fordmods? It would certainly overcome the image sizing problems...

Well i started doing that in v2 and relised you cant have the writing inbetween your pics, say if your showing steps on a mod you did.

also they turn up backwards at the bottom of the post so whats the point in that.

As a result most users using photobucket or similar.

Josh

Inline attachments allow you to place your uploaded photos wherever you wish in the post body, so this is no longer an issue.

Ok will give it a go but that does not help people who use photobucket because they use multiple forums, besides photobucket resizes your images as you upload to a standard internet size.

Perhaps you could atleast make the forum wide enough to accommodate people who use photobucket. because i think you will find your most valuable members and contributors use it, and they are what make the site popular.

I dont realy feel like changing over, as i am on dailup I would preffer to upload images once not over and over again.

I think people with faster connections will agree with me as its a pain in the a** to have to upload over and over again.

Cheers josh

You can always upload it once to Fordmods and then link from there. When photobucket goes bust then our site wont be very popular at all, eh? :P

s**t. Who the hells signature did I check? Bugger me (or not...) Sorry! Sorry sorry... It just looks BIG coz it's all bold and bright now... Mr Green smiles

As for the drugs, there's a little spot of bother with the tame customs official at present. Normal service will resume shortly.

Fair enough, but on photo bucket you have a feature where when you hover over a pic in your gallery you can click on a link that copys the image code to your clipboard then you can go back to your post and copy paste it in.

Does the fordmods gallery have that feature?

Well, you can always right click on the image and select copy link location. If the extra click is a bother, I'm sure I can work something out.

I dont think it would be a waste of time as i think that if the fordmods site user gallery worked more like photobucket you will have more people uploading to fordmods and there will be no issues with size and people can use it like photo bucket and get the image codes posted on other forums and insted of sending single files on msn ect you can give them a link.

A downside is if that happend i dont know how long it would be before your server allowance runs out of room.

Witch is why it might be better to widen the forum, I dont see photobucket shutting down anytime soon. Its been arround for years.

I mean what do you plan to do with the extra space on either side?
Sell ad space, that would be diapointing

Cheers

Suggestion Re Tech Docs:

Speedo Calc needs adjusting as the actual calculator is now rather large lol
Also could it be moved from "Falcon/Fairmont/Fairlane - E-Series " to "Falcon/Fairmont/Fairlane - All - "
?

documents.php?d=30

:?:

Our server doesnt have an 'allowance' - storage is certainly no concern for us. Adding photobucket capabilities to Fordmods can be added to the todo list if people are interested.
