It wasnt martins choice - his avatar was changed by another mod as a joke as he moderated fordmods like a tyrant like Adolf!

One of my moderator colleagues chose it to reflect a few comments which had been made regarding my moderation of the site. It was intended as a joke, i took it that way and left it there. No offence was intended and i apologise if you were indeed offended. Having said this - your comments are fair and go to show that not everyone who vists the site is in on our "little jokes". Exactly, absolutely no harm intended... we actually all had that avatar and some chose to keep and some removed it. Open up any history book, turn on The History Channel, Discovery Channel etc and you'll always find something on Hitler... I've watched stacks of these documentaries as they are interesting. Like it or not it's part of history and it can't be changed. |

Blackjack, as a moderator of the site - one of my roles is to enforce the rule regarding racial attacks. Therefore, its best for me to err on the conservative side of what's allowable and what's not.
You dont need to look too far for examples of "if i cant have such and such, why is the moderator allowed to have so and so". We've taken members to task over white supremist and nazi banter, so even as a joke, its not a good idea for me to have Hitler as my avatar. Your point is valid, and i wouldnt want FM to have a reputation as some sort of politically-correct thug. I think we've got a good balance. Sorry if this most recent decision doesnt sit well
