Over the years we've seen many a group buy organised on Fordmods, with some great (and some not-so-great) results for members.

It's an opportunity we want members to have access to - as the savings can be significant. However, there are risks associated with group buys (as per any online-based transaction) and Fordmods needs to ensure that all parties know where they stand and what rights/responsibilities will be bestowed upon organisers/sellers and participants/buyers.

We've developed some very simple guidelines, which can be found in the For Sale forum:

The emphasis of the guidelines is the standards which sellers/organisers need to meet in order to allow the group buy to proceed on Fordmods.

But we also stress that all participants/buyers of group buys need to consider Caveat Empor... let the buyer beware.

Of course the Fordmods Admin Group are happy to answer any questions you may have... particularly for sellers - if you're not sure, ask a moderator (see the member names in red on the home page to see who is online).
