Hi All,

Thanks to EBGizmo for submitting his technical document on how to bypass Smartlock for use with Remote Start alarm systems.

You can find the document here: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=83

And you can see our entire library of documents here:

If you have an idea for a technical document, please speak to Happy.

Cheers

Good stuff with the tec doc on the smartlock bypass but there is only one problem,This bypass design works very well and easy to do but on the down side is the the relay in the smartlock can also fail as well. The only way around this it to generate a signal to fool the PCM but this is alot harder.Never the less thumbs up.

You mean the relay in the BEM that stops it cranking?

If so, you would just wire up the ignition crank wire directly to the starter relay positive. No need to generate any codes.
