Vinyl is horrid to use when you're a mobile DJ. Even in clubs nowdays with the advances in CD decks, vinyl use is dropping off. All club installations have both a pair of CD decks and 1210's.
No doubt vinyl will live on for the true turntablists.. beat jugglers and the like, but not for the beatmixers and dance floors

I am a digital dj and am wanting some 1200's as I can now sc ratch mp3's just like regular vinyl. The advantages, never have to change a record again and song selection is so much quicker.
Oh and before you start the flame up, I was a vinyl dj for 10 years, this is soooooooo much better |

Although saying that i have a pioneer cmx3000 dual cd mixer Vinyl is more fun? Depends what you compare to. Have you looked at the new Technics CD decks (SLDZ1200) ? How about the Denon DN-S5000, DNS-3500. Hunt around for some of the demo video's. You will be amazed at how close some of the CD decks are to working with wax. It brings the best of both worlds together. The only thing you'll never get from a CD deck is the audio properties of vinyl. While vinyl not as accurate as a digitally mastered 44Khz 16bit mix, it just has its own warm sound. This is something i'd prefer appreciate at home, rather than on a scratched up record that i'm playing to 1000 head banging pill poppers who probably dont know what you're playing off
