I always thought Fairmont, Ghia were high series, XR and Police were mid, and Gli Futura were low?

nah fairmonts/ghias/XR's/chasers all had those clusters - the futuras & gli's had the pov-pack low-series clusters

NF/NL/DF/DL's had the high series ones from memory...

There was a difference in the Fairmont and Ghia clusters, i can't remember from memory but there was something that needed a diode added, or some other mod if you fitted one to a Gli!?!?!?
It should be in the doco's section if i can be bothered having a look lol.

Fras we should get one from my wreckers and post it up, spilt the profits...To convert a Futura/GLi to a fully functiong you need the high series cluster to sustain the oil sensor and battery voltage wires you need to run.

to the high series or do you mean mid series. If you want to go to a mid cluster (which is this ebay one) you need the oil sensor and then two wires for the low washer and low coolant to finished it off. The voltage ones is already hooked up.

If you want to go to a high series, that is a big job, search for the details on this site, plenty of people have asked the question ... too much work i reckon.

That one certainly closed on a record high.

Here's a few more - still at a reasonable bid (at the moment):

EL ones don't seem to come up all that often - the buyer question asks about the XH XR6 - the std fit cluster is the EF mid series.

This one's a bit pricey ???
