Gli/XR bonnets...

These will be the standard GLI/XR bonnets but with a buldge.

Fairmont bonnet....

These will be the GLI/XR bonnet cut down and modified to suit the lights and grill.

Cost: $750 including gas struts, making a 50% deposit payment of $375, then a final payment before dispatch of your bonnet (freight at extra cost, capped at $150 anywhere in Aus, if it is less then you wil pay less).

Details:

1. The bonnet will be fibreglass.
2. the grill will be free if ordered before bonnets are made (for fairmonts etc..)
3. The buldge will raise as does the BA bonnets.
4. There shall be no holes for the washer nozzles, but they can be easily relocted.
5. Grill will be styled like this, Fairmont grille surround, gt style mesh behind with badge in middle.
6. XR vents will also be done free of charge for orders put in before the bonnets are made.

Ok, that is all i can think of at the moment. If anyone has any concerns or questions please feel free to ask away. I will answer the best i can, and if not i can ask adam.

Cheers

BEN

hi guys,
i went down to Kurnell Kustoms this morning so adam could fit his "prototype" (for lack of a better word) onto my car (EL xr6). and honestly, the effort he has put into the bonnet is obvious on first site, it looks trully amazing.

I figured that of course it would look good, but i didn't think it would look THIS good.

after fitting it, i sat in the drivers seat and just sighed and said, "i gotta have one"

anyway, enough of my crap, i took some photos just to give you guys an idea of how nice it sits and just how well it suits.

I agree with you.
I would buy one if it had the raised section and the bulge was on top of that.
By looking at the pics it looks like the bulge would give you the same clearance as a stock high series bonnet.

Can some one put the address of Kurnell Customs. I am a little lazy and didnt really look for it. I am going to drop down and see adam in the next week or so and have a chat about a high series bonnet.

It looks pretty neat, but the front left corner seems to be sitting a bit high. It won't look like this when finished right?

I dont know exactly where he is, but i think down shire way. He is not there during the day, as he has another job, and only does this in the evenings and weekends. So you will have to ring him and organise a time to see him

Cheers

^^^ its pretty simpl really. they are doing one bonnet, the EF low series and XR one. this bonnet will have an attachment moulded into it so as it will fit a fairmont/lane with the standard grill in it if the person wants a high spec one.

That is dead right nicco, hope that sorted out your question low ghia.

this is from adam........ Plan to have the top of the bonnet moulded by the end of this coming week so I can flip it over and start moulding the bottom next weekend.

It is a time consuming process…you can only really put 1 layer of glass on to the mould each day and you need to end up with a thickness of around 10mm so it is nice and thick and holds its shape.

To the guy who has queried that the front left corner looks high and doesn’t sit right – simply a case of the bonnet not being closed in that shot.

Cheers adam.

If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask, adam is more than happy to answer any questions you have.

cheers

BEN
