I will be putting my car on the market early next year to get myself a BA and start the journey all over again. What do people think it's worth?
I know the money and time I've spent on it will not add major value to it because all I've done is narrow down the market I'm going to be able to sell to but I'm just wondering what people think. It's an auto 1994 EF Futura with 285 000km on it. The high K's will probably kill it even though it's got a lowish K motor in it. By the time I'd put it on the market it will have the following mods... Engine - 150k motor just installed 1000km ago. - 2.5" RedBack cat back sports exhaust - Advance 4499 style extractors - K&N panel filter - Single piece stainless steel air intake piping Interior - MOMO steering wheel - MOMO auto T-bar - All interior properly sprayed black - Modified centre console with 7" screen Exterior - EF GT body kit; front, back and side skirts - Bonnet just been resprayed - 18" BA Typhoon wheels in E-series offset - Clear tail lights - Tinted windows Stereo - JVC KD-DV7205 DVD Head - 7" Eonon LCD Screen mounted under Head - JVC CS-FX602 6.5" 2-ways in the rear - Soundstream XST6.5 6.5" 3-ways up front - Response AA0426 4x100WRMS 4-channel Amp - Response AA0428 1x800WRMS MonoBlock Amp - P-TEKNIQUE ICBM5912 Competition 12" 1000WRMS Sub - Custom boot install for stereo I'm probably going to be better off taking parts like the wheels, MOMO bits and tail lights off the car and selling them separately as people will pay through the a*** for parts like that. What do people think? Thanks Guys, Sam.

Its going to be about finding someone that is looking for a car like yours. If you can then I think you should be able to get $4500, although if you can't find someone who likes the GT kit, etc. Then you can chop $1500 off that.

I think MooseMan is pretty close on the money there... The market you'd be targeting would be blokes lookin for a first car or something like that, so they would be willing to pay a little more money for a car that has the mods their looking for rather than buying a bone stock one.

I'd start it at 6250ono... see how it goes.... Use PM as a Offer system, therefore you do'nt have a massive thread or wankers taking the piss!

Pretty much exactly the thoughts I was having.
It's probably worth all of $6500 if I could find someone who wanted to buy a gunmetal grey EF Falcon and modify it exactly like I have. Trouble is I'm probably the only person like that I'm thinking I'll put $6k ono. Anyway, always good to get people's thoughts. Thanks.

if it were me, id take the wheels and all the good bits off (momo, etc like u said ) and sell them seperately. You'll get more for the wheels selling them seperate then you would leaving them on the car. because, say for instanve, their worth 1000 dollars, they wont add 1000 dollars to the price of the car if you leave them on, if you know what i mean

Or get a smallish loan for a few g's and put a JMM or a ITS motor in it and flog it off for 10-15k. Hyena got 12 for his didnt he? and that was a its motor iirc with the same kit.

Hyena's car was WORTH what he got for it though.
My advice, get it back to stock and sell the bits. As we all know, half the fun of owning a car is being able to mod it/personalise it youself. Goodluck!

Hyena had the same mods as me and then some. Forgetting his insane engine specs and strip times, his paint job alone was enough to make his car worth more than mine. The only thing I've got over him is a (fairly average) stereo install.

Thanks. 6k for a car almost 300,000k's old... ugh.. no thanks i think you'll struggle to sell it for that... as mooseman said..$4500

And like I said Mitch. I doubt I'll get $6k. Thus I'll advertise it for $6k ono... If I wanted $3k then I'd advertise it for $4500.

Advertise the car with your price and see what happens, you can always offer a price drop and keep items off the car to sell seperate. Give the buyer the option if they want the extras they pay the price or you sell the extras seperately for more.
