the story goes, (this is from a broken hill local)

car was bought
water fell from the sky
road flooded
bloke wanted a turbo not a std XR6
drove it into a flooded roadway
presto!!! insurance company supplied a new car.
and they wouldnt give him a turbo so he traded it straight back for a turbo one.
the car had a splash of water inside, the aircleaner has not been wet so it never hit the engine.
i think the insurance company got ripped on this one!!!!

photos soon

Hey Darren,

i noticed the picture of the ute was taken outside the Silverton hotel
was the publican's mad max replica parked out the front or did you see
his motorbike(sorry will rephrase that was there a leyland v8 strapped to a two wheel chassis) somewhere close handy.Only because that would of made a more interesting photo,no offence to the GT of course.

i have been there a few times and the old black coupe is always there.

i havnt seen his bike. but i have heard about it. you couldnt really call it a bike.

got some good shots of the coupe aswell as the GT-P parked out the front. a long way to go for a photo :P
