weeman, shortshift and twindongs, your Throttle bodies are on there way, thanks for your patients...

the following are complete and i do not have buyers for them yet, packed and ready to go...
1 x EB/ED style
2 x AU series I
1 x AU series 2

i thought i had more EF/EL Throttle bodies but i am short a couple...
inspector rectum and Bug, i hope you can hold on for my next lot next week

in the next lot for machining i already have
2 x EA
1 X EF
and ill be looking at getting as many ef/el as i can as thats what most people are after, ill be heading to wreckers on sunday!

if you guys that have replaced your throttle bodies dont want your old one ill buy it off you and put it into my next group for machining, that would speed things up for everone....

thanks

vince

I received my throttle body today. As soon as I get my new motor & cam run in, it'll be going on. And then... it's off for dynotuning. Looking forward to a better output than the sad 120kW before.

The finished product and followup were all Numero Uno. For anyone contemplating this mod, this guy is great to deal with.

Thanks Vince.

put mine on tonight!
the car definately feels verry pokey, im not sure how much difference it has made, but there is definately something there. its hard for me to tell because i dont drive the car every day.

im taking it down the drags tomoro night so will have to see what happens!

i had to make 2 new gaskets as mine were both stuffed (tb and isc), took the car for a drive and it went well but had megggga rev hand, like it was gaining rpm when i clutched it... so what i did was made another gasket for the isc, to completely block it off. Then i just asdjusted the base idle up to around 900rpm, just gotta see what it will be like in the morn, i think its gonna be pretty rough! but it runs and idles awesome when warm like this.

all in all very happy with the item and the service fastxr has provided

thanks guys, your ecu will also need a little time to learn the new airflow, give it a few days of driving and it will feel stronger again, although it will be gradual and you might not even notice. if anyone plans on a before and after 1/4 miles, dynos, etc, please post them up...

being originally skeptical, i reckon i might give one of these a go in the future as it might allow the tuner to throw in a bit more fuel up top if its already allowing a little more air :)

yeah i will definately post up a before and after 1/4 to compare. since you say it takes a few days to feel stronger again, do you think its a bad idea to take it down to race tonight then if i only put it in last night? all up it would have only had about 2-3hrs of driving with the new tb before i hit the strip

just got back from the drags,

previous best was 14.268 at 96.77mph

new best is 14.179 at 96.87mph

so a minor gain to be had, but then again that could have been it was 15degrees cooler tonight! But the car does feel very nice to drive with the new tb on so still a worth while investment

well done, when your already at low 14s, 0.1 is no mean feat, in my el i dropped from 14.3 to 14.2 with the throttle body. although you may not feel it, the car is pulling past 5400 instead of peaking at 5000 rpm
