For sale, NO SWAPS $1800ono. Car is located in Bendigo, Vic
EA1 Fairmont Ghia. Has been fitted with EB bonnet, grill and mirrors sometime in the past though. Originally a 3 speed auto but converted to a T5 manual using an original loom and ECU May 2013. New clutch cable and Exedy heavy duty clutch fitted. Motor is a 3.9L Multipoint injected engine. High kms but runs well and had a head gasket a few years back. And a new water pump 12 months ago. Has had a new radiator and every coolant hose replaced in the last 12 months. Also had a fuel pump in the last 12 months, And a full set of belts. Engine serviced every 5000kms or 6 months. Whichever came first Has had a XH ute intake snorkel and BMC high flow panel filter fitted. And a extra snorkel in the front. Car is lowered on Pedders GSR shocks and Pedders superlow springs. Also has a original rubber windscreen visor, metal rear window venetian and ED Sprint front bumper lip. Interior is standard, apart from a ED Ghia leather steering wheel and EB1 Fairmont Ghia leather/velour Recaro seats (leather is worn) 90% of suspension bushes have been replaced with Superpro polyurethane bushes. Front lower control arms were replaced with Pedders change over units. (Upper control arm bushes only ones that haven't been done) Front brake rotors and pads have only done 15,000kms tops. Rear pads same kms. Rear rotors were machined when new pads fitted Front tyres have 90% tread left. Rears about 40% Has had HiTech extractors fitted, mated to a stock cat converter. And a stock 2-1/4" exhaust. Still has original 2.77:1 LSD fitted. No noises. Centre seems tight. Car is also fitted with an original Ford 1200kg towbar and wiring Car is clean for the age. BUT does have slight rust in both rear dogleg panels and just above the windscreen. And RHR handbrake mechanism in the caliper has seized (I don't use it anyway) And heater/AC blows the right temp as commanded. But air will only blow onto the windscreen (is RW like that as it defogs windscreen and apparently is a common problem with the early E-series climate control) Car comes with rego but no RWC. Probably just need to be raised and the caliper replaced ($20 from a wrecker) Vehicle also doesn't come with the good stereo. But will throw in a Clarion head unit and the original speakers. Price is fairly firm, may negotiate a bit. Car is very reliable. Tows well too. But now i have upgraded and don't need 3 registered cars.
